#if_persevere Illustrated Faith Kit Review

Hey friends! I know there's been a lot of talk and questions about all the changes with the new Illustrated Faith Kit #IF_persevere. I'm going to share with you my feelings about all the changes. The first thing that was different-The packaging-comes in a smaller kraft like envelope. It's super cute!
The pouch is different than the zipper ones we had for the past 6 months or so. It's a clear pouch that has a tie closure. At first you might think-Oh-it doesn't seem like there's much stuff....but wait until you open it up.....there really a lot packed into this pouch!
LOOK AT ALL THAT GOODNESS!!!!! I think the biggest thing I have heard so far is there's no devotional booklet. For me-I read the devos but I never really wrote in them. So, I'm ok without the book. But there is devotional content! There are 4 cards with the Devo and verses, as well as prompts for journaling.
I like that I can use the cards for other things too-like tip ins or to share with friends-especially the fact that there are 4 other journaling cards that are beautiful on the front and lined on the back. For now, I punched a hole in the devo cards- Week 1-4 and put them on a binder ring with some pretty ribbon. I'm not sure if I will use the other cards to journal on and add to my binder ring? Or if I will share them. Plus..I haven't even mentioned the gold foil accents on everything! In love with it!
There is still a WHOLE ROLL OF WASHI TAPE! I like the words on it this month- PRAY - PLANT YOUR FEET - PREPARE. Also, I loooove the new tip ins! I didn't use the other tip ins very often....so I like the new heart shape and can see me using them! Or sharing them! Who wouldn't love to get one of those! So pretty! Let's talk about the changes in the sticker sheets. I did like the alphas with the kits-but I don't think I'm all that mad about not having them....because these sticker sheets are gorgeous! I'm talking gold foil! Clear not like a paper back sticker! They are girlie and pretty, but yet have the wood grain and other stickers that aren't super girlie! It's a good mix. I'm liking the sticker changes!
The stamp set is smaller. Not sure I mind? I like the mix of words and florals. After buying the kits for a few years now-I have a pretty decent stamp collection-I also like using the stamps from the older sets-it's fun to mix them! So, I think I'm ok with the smaller stamp set. I also like that the kits are only $20 now! I think that's a price point that is more feasible for some to buy on a monthly basis.
And now, one of my fav changes! Although I did like the stamp backers in the kit....I love now that I get even more paper pieces and I don't have to cut anything out!!! That rocks! There's a mix of floral and word pieces, as well as just some plain or patterned pieces that you can stamp on or just use as an accent on your page. Again..GOLD FOIL! There are some paper pieces (die-cuts) at the top of the picture as well as the bottom right.
Last, there is still a personal note from Shanna Noel. That I already used as a tip-in on my first page.
I journaled a prayer underneath it, and washi taped it in. I know that she as well as the contributors, pour their hearts into these kits for us every month and I love the changes! I know change can be heard, but friends, CHANGE CAN BE GOOD! Sometimes we can get stuck in a journaling rut and I like that the kits haven't stayed the same. I think it challenges us to grow spiritually as well as creatively! I hope you enjoyed my review! There's also an unboxing video of this kit posted on our blog, if you haven't checked it out yet, please do! If you are ready to buy this kit now, please use my affiliate link at the top of the page. I do receive a small commission if you order through my link, I will use that commission for our bible journaling ministries. Thank you Friends!
