Faith>Fear

Hey friends! I wanted to share my pages from my favorite class from #designerday2017 Faith>Fear

This was such an amazing class led by Shanna. We talked about our fears and giving them to God and laying them at the cross. We heard some amazing testimonies of God's faithfulness and some shared their fears and prayers and gave some really tough things over to Him that day. We listened to Mercy Me "Even If" and journaled to the music.  I already love this song so it was nice just to listen and journal what was in my heart. Its one of my favorite ways to journal! As I'm listening to this song and the lyrics I'm thinking how true it is that when all is right in your world it's easy to sing his praises,  but what about when you're in the middle of your battle????
I love the lyrics in the song: "but what will I say when I'm held to the flame like I am right now?"
I deal with fibromyalgia and with that chronic pain and exhaustion and a fear that my pain will just be too much one day and the meds won't help anymore... I fear that one day my husband's cancer will come back... I fear that the world will influence my kids and they will stray from God...  I remember after my husband and I married and we filed for him to adopt them I feared my ex and the possible outcome that he wouldn't be able to adopt them. I also remember the quiet whispers of God asking me to trust him, and I did, and he was faithful. I gave that up to him, and the only thing that got me through the fear and anxiety is repeating Psalm 18:2 "the Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer,  my God, my Rock, in whom I take refuge " Anytime I felt myself get anxious or scared I made a conscious choice to take a deep breath and give it to Him. And again with my husbands battle with cancer last year it was indeed a scary thing but oddly enough there was also a calmness I didn't quite understand and just kept hearing "Trust ME" so I did, and he was faithful... I know not always do things end up the way we think they will and I know the only one that can see the whole picture is Him. I know how much easier things become when you take that leap of faith the first step into the unknown and give your fears and your control over to Him and just TRUST! When you do that your FAITH becomes bigger than your FEAR and that's your first victory right there!
The first page I journaled to the song was Isaiah 35:4
Say to those with fearful hearts,
“Be strong, and do not fear,
for your God is coming to destroy your enemies.
He is coming to save you.”

The second page I journaled was Matthew 6:33-34
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Praying today friends that if there is something today that you are fearing and holding onto that you will find the strength to put your trust in Him and nail that fear to the cross!
